OH MY POOR OSCARS!!! R.I.P

I bought 2 oscar fishes 5 months ago to put them into my outside pond. The reasons I got them for the outside pond was that the sales-man told me they could stand the cold in the winter!!! I like them as well because they were very wild, which was totally different from the rest of the lazy colourful fishes i've got in the pond (most of them were cap fishes)...

5 months have passed.....


Suddently yesterday, before our isys class, i found one of my oscar fishes was tiredly lying at the bottom of the pond, which was so not him, the active one that i have known. I thought he was just having a good rest. I came back to visit the fishes today! After a long day at work, i was hoping to be entertained by seeing the fishes chasing eachothers...BUT NO!!!! Both of my OSCARS HAVE GONE TO HEAVEN :(( (R.I.P)
I checked the pH of the water, it was fine? So i thought to myself it must be the cold that killed them:((

So one hint people! If you are intending to have OSCAR fishes for your pond, make sure you keep them warmed in the winter!

How come they are so cute!!

Even though they are not my pets, I found them really really cute!

Teacup Pigs

When someone thinks of pets, they most often think of dogs, cats, or birds. However, as of recent there has been a rise in the number of pet pigs! I, for one, could not resist the cute guys, take a look for yourself.

Not only are pigs cute, but they're smart as well! Teacup pigs typically only grow to be a maximum of 20 kilos, the size of a medium dog! Here are some pictures of the adorable animals.

There are 25 species of hamsters, Hamsters are full of energy and easy to look after. Owners just need to buy a cage and set up a playground for the hamster.

Back in my country, there is a competition on whose bird can sing the best. Interesting..

Birds eat nuts or grains or rice. Considered cheap compared to dogs or cats.

When i was really young, i have a parrot that can talk. When i am back from school,
it will yell," Monic pulang! Monic Pulang". It means "Monic is back! Monic is back"
My bird died because of an illness TT_TT I dont have its picture but i remember that it
looked like this^^

The Cats of Surry Hills

Let's take a look at some of the feline residents of Surry Hills.

Cats were only domesticated 4,000 years ago, compared to dogs which were domesticated 14,000 years ago. This is why most cats have retained their hunting instincts.

Frankie is the 2nd oldest boy, he's 9, very vocal and loves a good cuddle.

 Merlin, or bedroom cat, is the oldest boy. He's 10 and primarily stays in the bedroom.

 This is Missy one of the 2 girls, she's the smallest and youngest. She's 3 years old. She loves exploring and getting into mischief.

This is Regan, she's the fattest cat we have, she weighs nearly 7 kilos! She's one of my favourites because she has the nicest coat out of all the cats.

Fish

Of all the pets that can be considered cute or cuddly, it is hard to think of fish as falling into those two categories. However, I've found just the opposite after diving into the world of marine fish.


Here's one of our fish, Skipper, he's a sailfin tang

This is James he is our  Brown Scopas Tang.

































Daisy is our Longhorn Cowfish. We have to be extra careful with Daisy because if she becomes stressed out she can release a toxin that will kill all the other fish in the tank.

This is JJ, short for Jaws Junior. He's an Epaulette Shark.

There are so many different and fascinating fish, most of which I'd consider cute.

Guinea Pig from my home stay mother

Guinea pig like humans, are unable to create their own Vitamin C. They have to eat fresh vegetables every day.

They have a closed circulatory system, and they have a surprisingly high resting heart rate of 275 beats per minute. That's incredibly fast compared to human's average of 70 beats per minute!

The Shinny Pig is an almost hairless breed of Guinea Pig.
